Across the lake

Over the mountains

And threw the trees I flew.

To find a place where the rivers and roads would lead me back to you.

They told me tales of love lost long ago

And whispered their darkest moments, but the beauty does still glow.

The winds taught flow and told me to always be free

For what is there to hold onto when you are all you need?

"Find your wild in a world so tame."

I can still hear the echo as he went and came.

I've always been envious of the way he could fly,

Even in my dreams I still try.

Peaceful the sound of water at night;

Oh how she sparkles under the moonlight.

She has plenty to say with no words at all

A language of the earth that is forever installed.

As the ebb shifts you become one

Not fighting the current but allowing her to run.

Weightless energy in motion,

You are this vast, complex commotion.

They say you'll never find something as long as you look for it

Hard as it may be I have to admit,

I found this true while looking for you.

It became dark inside my soul

Until I finally gave up control.

And visited my friends that have been here from the start

They have shared so much wisdom, now I depart.

Don't lose yourself in someone else

The game of a fool who played himself.

Listen to your heart,

All the pain you feel can be turned into art.
